Fifth Game To Sellout, Limited Number Of Arizona Tickets Remain
BOULDER— For just the second time ever and for the first time in exactly 30 years, the Colorado Buffaloes have sold out five games in a season after the Oregon State game slated for November 4 sold out Thursday, school officials announced.

CU sold out its season opener against Nebraska last week, beating the Cornhuskers 36-14 in front of a record crowd of 53,241, or 106.1 percent of capacity, the largest crowd by capacity since the second deck was put on the stadium in 1956.

CU previously announced complete sellouts of the Colorado State (Saturday, 8 p.m., ESPN), USC (Sept. 30) and Stanford (Oct. 13), bringing the total number of complete sellouts to five and matching the school record set in 1993. CU has never sold out every game in a season.

A limited number of single game tickets remain for the Senior Day matchup with Arizona on Nov. 11.

This week CU is hosting ESPN College Gameday for the first time since 1996, at the Leeds Business School field, as well as Fox Big Noon Kickoff back at Farrand Field for the second week in a row. This is the first time Colorado has hosted both college football pregame shows on the same day and just the seventh time in history both shows have picked the same game anywhere in the country.

After their second consecutive win, the Buffs moved up in the Associated Press poll to No. 18 and to No. 21 in the ESPN USA Today Coaches Poll and entered the FWAA Super 16 at No. 16.

CU sold out of season tickets on April 17, the first school in the nation to sellout its season tickets ahead of the 2023 season. CU's first known sellout was in the 1952 season and the Colorado State game will mark the 78th sellout in Folsom Field History.Â
