ADA Information

The University of Colorado Athletic Department strives to provide excellent service to all patrons and is committed to making our athletic events accessible by taking all reasonable measures to accommodate guests with disabilities. Wheelchair seating is dispersed throughout the facilities and can be obtained when purchasing your ticket or arriving at your gate. For hearing-impaired patrons, Folsom Field and the CU Events Center offer captioning via mobile devices and on the video boards. If you anticipate needing any type of accommodation or have questions about the physical access provided, please contact Athletics in advance of your visit at 303-492-8337.

Accommodation Requests

To request an accommodation for an event held in Folsom or CU, you may contact us at 303-492-8337. You may also use the Accommodation Request Form, and a member our team will respond to you within one business day. On accommodation requests, please give two business days notice prior to the event.  If your accommodation need is less two business days in advance of an event, please see event staff when you arrive and we will work to accommodate requests as best as possible.

Tickets

Due to the limited availability of wheelchair accessible seats, we encourage guests to call the Ticket Office at 303-492-8337 well in advance of the event to check on availability. Guests who have already purchased tickets and need to exchange them for accessible seating may do so by calling the Ticket Office. We strongly recommend that you do not purchase accessible seats on the secondary market. 


Parking and Shuttle Service

Folsom Field: Parking for persons with disabilities is available in lot 204 (18th Street and Euclid Avenue). A wheelchair-accessible shuttle transports ticket holders with disabilities between lot 204 and gates 1 and 6 continuously for two hours before the game and for one hour after the game.  If additional accessible parking arrangements are needed to accommodate fans' needs, please call Parking Services Events Parking section at 303-735-PARK (7275). Vehicles not displaying CU Boulder parking permits will be charged $25 per parking space.

Parking is controlled by PTS, please visit their site. 
 

Accessible Entrances

Entrances at Folsom Field and CU Events Center are accessible for guests with disabilities. Guests with disabilities who have purchased wheelchair accessible seats can email or call Guest Services at guestservices@colorado.edu or 303-492-5318 prior to the game to obtain information on how to access your seat. You may also visit one of our guest services locations on-site when you arrive. Contact the ticket office for wheelchair accessible seating locations and availability.

Additional assistance is available at all gate entrances by request.  Speak with an usher or gate staff personnel at any entrance for assistance. 
 

Hearing Assistance

Closed captioning is available on video boards at Folsom Field and the CU Events Center. Hearing devices are available based upon request through Guest Services. Seat relocation is available upon request based on availability. Folsom Field and CU Event Center provide captioning via mobile devices for football games, men’s and women’s basketball games, and volleyball games. Elevators

Elevators are available to provide access to all applicable ADA areas in and around our facilities.

Folsom Field: There is elevator access to get to any level possible. On the west, elevators are in the UC Health Champions Center and parking garage, and west side in Balch Fieldhouse.  See signage or events staff for needed access on game days and during events.  There is an elevator located in Balch Fieldhouse which provides access to the Flatirons Club and Press Box. There is also an elevator in the Dal Ward Athletic Center and four in the UC Health Champions Center which provides access to each level within those buildings.  There is a parking garage in the UC Health Champions Center.

CU Events Center: There is an elevator located on the north end of the building, which provides access to all three levels.
 

Restrooms

Folsom Field: All restrooms are accessible for guests with disabilities. Women’s restrooms are located in Balch Fieldhouse, gates 2, 7, 8 and 12, as well as the east concourse and Indoor Practice Facility. Men’s restrooms are located in Balch Fieldhouse, gates 6, 7, 8, 10, and 11, as well as the east concourse and Indoor Practice Facility. Family restrooms are available on the east concourse opposite gate 9 as well as the Indoor Practice Facility.

CU Events Center: All restrooms are accessible for guests with disabilities.


Service Animals

CU Boulder Athletics welcomes patrons and their service animals to attend our sporting events. Service animals must remain under control of their handler and not cause a disruption to the event. Athletics staff may need to relocate a patrons’ seats if the service animal impacts fire code regulations or cannot reasonably fit within the space provided by the patrons’ seat. We will make all reasonable efforts to ensure the seat is similar to the one you purchased.  Please note that, per University policy, pets and emotional support or comfort animals are not allowed in Folsom Field or the CU Events Center. 
 

Medical Needs

Emergency Number - 911: In case of emergencies, call or text 911. To expedite the process, please provide as much information as possible, including the seat location. (section, row, and seat number)

First Aid: Emergency medical treatment is available in the Duane Physics building directly across Colorado Avenue from the south end of the stadium and also Gate 12 and 13. There are also first aid teams roaming throughout the stadium area. In case of emergency please contact an usher or police officer.


Online Content

The University of Colorado Boulder is committed to providing equal access to individuals with disabilities. Grievances

CU Athletics is committed to ensuring that our guests with disabilities are able to experience and enjoy our events. If you have a concern or feedback related to an event at CU or Folsom that you attended, or wish to attend, you may use this form to address concerns and a member of our team will respond to you.  

The University and ADA Compliance support you in your right to file a grievance when you believe you have been denied equal access in the form of appropriate accommodations, modifications, auxiliary aids or effective communication or suffered discriminatory harassment in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
