
Pisani, Peluso Receive 2025 Nike Lacrosse Media All-America Honors

Graduate attacker Madeline Pisani and junior defender Jess Peluso are the 17th and 18th All-America selections for CU Lacrosse
BOULDER – Colorado lacrosse's graduate attacker Madeline Pisani (Clarendon Hills, Ill./Hinsdale Central HS) and junior defender Jess Peluso (East Islip, N.Y./East Islip HS) received 2025 Nike Lacrosse Media All-America Honorable Mentions, Inside Lacrosse announced Friday, May 16.
Pisani and Peluso's selections mark the 17th and 18th All-America selections for the Buffs all-time, and the ninth and 10th postseason awards this year.
Big 12 Attack Player of the Year Pisani earns her second All-America award after making the USA Lacrosse All-America Honorable Mention team last season. She was the Buffs' leading scorer this season, registering 68 points off 42 goals and 26 assists and a .378 shooting percentage. She has three game-winning goals on the season and leads the team with seven free position goals. She was also named Big 12 Attack Player of the Week twice and Big 12 Preseason Attacker Player of the Year. Pisani picked up seven points in the Big 12 Semifinal against Arizona State, four goals and three assists for her seventh hat trick of the season and 21st of her career (May 1). Pisani led the charge for the Buffs in their last regular season game against the Bearcats, finishing the game with eight points (4g, 4a), a ground ball and a caused turnover (April 26). She also saw a matched career-high in both points (9) and goals (7) against San Diego State, the Buffs' first Big 12 game of the season (Mar. 29). Pisani is now seventh for points in a single season at CU with 68 (42g, 26a) and she is fourth for assists in a single season with 26. She is also tied for sixth in career assists with 40. Pisani ended the postseason third in the Big 12 for shots per game with 5.73. She is also second in the Big 12 for points per game (4.47), fifth for assists per game (1.76) and sixth for goals per game (2.71).
Peluso, who was named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year, is selected for her second All-America honor, her first coming last year with USA Lacrosse like Pisani. She had 29 ground balls, 19 caused turnovers and 96 draw controls on the season. She was named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week twice, and has two games with double-digit draw controls. Peluso also has at least one caused turnover in all but four games. She had nine draw controls, three caused turnovers and one ground ball against Cincinnati (April 26). She is currently ninth in CU history for career draw controls with 101, and she is third in career caused turnovers with 79. Peluso ended the season ranked third in the Big 12 for draw controls per game with 6.18. She is also seventh in the Big 12 for ground balls per game (1.76) and third for caused turnovers per game (1.29).
Eighty-five student athletes were selected to the Inside Lacrosse First, Second, Third and Honorable Mention teams. Forty-four others join Pisani and Peluso with Honorable Mentions and awards were selected by Inside Lacrosse media. A full list of the honorees can be found here.
