
Buffs Earn IWLCA Academic Honors

Colorado earned Academic Honor Squad recognition and placed nine athletes on the honor roll
NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – Colorado was one of 338 schools across Division I, II, III and NAIA named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Squad on Wednesday.
The team honor is the fifth consecutive for the Buffaloes and the team's ninth total. To qualify for the prestigious honor, teams must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year.
Individually, nine Buffs were honored as IWLCA Honor Roll selections. Danielle Heintz, Mack Hanlon, Kendall Havill, Jordan Johnson, Samantha Lipka, Katie McLean, Madeline Pisani, Morgan Pence and Molly Reed represented CU out of 1,163 total student-athletes from 124 different institutions.
Johnson, Lipka, Pisani and Pence are all repeat honorees. It is the third consecutive honor for Pisani and Pence. Lipka (2024) and Johnson (2023) picked up their second career honors.
Colorado finished 2025 with an 8-8 record and had six players selected across the All-Big 12 and All-Newcomer teams, including Pisani's 2025 Big 12 Attacker of the Year. She also received 2025 Nike Lacrosse Media All-America Honorable Mention honors from Inside Lacrosse in May. The Buffs finished 4-1 in Big 12 play and earned the No. 2 seed in the inaugural Big 12 Lacrosse Championship.
