El Sayed Returns For Final Season

BOULDER –University of Colorado star women's tennis athlete, Aya El Sayed, will return to Boulder for one last season as a Buff, following her last year which was beset by injury.
The Alexandria, Egypt native led Colorado at the No. 1 spot in singles consistently over the last couple of year's, holding a career record of 50-31 in singles as a Buff. Of those 50 wins one of those were against the reigning National Champion from UCLA during the 2024 season.
Throughout the 2024-25 season, El Sayed was ranked in doubles competition consistently with partner Pia Rebec -- the duo finished off with a 19-13 record to end the season.
El Sayed is on the career leader boards at Colorado, including No. 13 in singles winning percentages (.645) and No. 10 in doubles pairs wins with Rebec (11).
The returner along with the rest of the team will begin their spring slate on January 23rd, opening home competition against Montana State.
