AT COLORADO: 2010 (Sr.)-He saw action in eight games (four starts) after transferring to Colorado from USC for his senior season. He caught 20 passes for 127 yards (6.4 per) with one touchdown, an 18-yard reception from Tyler Hansen that scored the Buffaloes' first points of the season (in the opener against Colorado State). He had one reception over 20 yards (35 yards versus Baylor) and five of 10 yards or longer. He caught a season-high six passes at Missouri (for a modest 30 yards), and also had four at California (34 yards) and versus Texas Tech (for minus-5); he had at least one reception in all eight games he appeared in. He led the team in punt returns, with 15 for 125 yards (8.3 per) with a long of 45, also in the CSU game. He added seven kickoff returns for 140 yards, or 20.0 per with a long of 29, and had nine rushes (all end-arounds) for a net 13 yards. He joined the team just prior to the start of fall camp, and began practicing in earnest the first day in pads (August 9), the same day his transfer to CU from the University of Southern California was cleared. He was free to transfer anywhere in the country after the NCAA penalized the Trojan program in June, and because the sanctions included a two-year ban on participating in bowl games, USC upperclassmen were free to transfer without penalty to the school of their choosing.

AT SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA: He was a member of three Pac-10 and Rose Bowl champion teams in 2006, 2007 and 2008; he also was a sprinter for one season on the track team (in his only appearance in 2008, he ran the leadoff leg on the 400-meter relay team in a heat at the Pac-10 meet).

2009 (Jr.)-He served as a backup wide receiver and was also on the depth at punt return. He saw limited action in seven games, with three receptions for eight yards, along with two rushes for 15 yards. His long play of the year was a 13-yard gain on a reverse versus Boston College, and he missed some time with a sprained ankle, including a chance to play against Oregon.

2008 (Soph.-RS)-He appeared in 11 games (no starts; played in all but Arizona and California) as a reserve receiver; he caught three passes for 25 yards (8.3 avg.), with one reception each against Oregon, Arizona State and Washington State.

2007 (Soph.)-He played in USC's first three games as a backup wide receiver, but suffered a foot injury prior to the fourth game versus Washington that required surgery and was sidelined the rest of the year. Because the injury occurred, he was awarded a medical redshirt for the year. He had caught just one pass (for no yards, against Idaho).

2006 (Fr.)-He appeared in 12 games (all but UCLA) as a true freshman, with three receptions for 63 yards (21.0 avg.); two of the grabs came at Stanford (for 44 yards, including his USC career-long play of 22 yards) and a 19-yard catch at Arkansas.

HIGH SCHOOL-His senior honors (2005) included PrepStar All-American, SuperPrep All-Farwest, PrepStar All-Western, Long Beach Press-Telegram Dream Team (first-team; he was Best in the West honorable mention), Tacoma News-Tribune Western 100, All-CIF Division I first team and All-Moore League first team. He had 1,097 all-purpose yards: he caught 25 passes for 700 yards (28.0 avg.) with 15 touchdowns and averaged 38.0 yards on kickoff returns and 27.0 yards on punt returns. As a junior in 2004, he had 26 receptions for 612 yards (23.5 avg.) with 3 TDs. Poly was 8-3 his senior year, winning the CIF and Moore League championships, and 11-1 his junior year under coach Raul Lara. He also lettered in track at Poly, with bests of 10.44 in the 100-meters (winning the 2006 CIF Division I race; he also was third at the 2006 CIF Masters meet and fourth at the 2006 state meet) and 21.41 in the 200 (he was third in the 2006 CIF Division I meet and seventh in both the CIF Masters and state meets).

ACADEMICS-He is majoring in Sociology at Colorado (his same major at Southern California; he earned his degree from USC in December 2010 as the credits at CU transferred back to USC).

PERSONAL-He was born September 20, 1988 in Lynwood, Calif. A cousin, Stafon Johnson, played tailback at USC (2006-09) and is a rookie with the NFL's Tennessee Titans. His nickname is "Peanut." Four high school teammates went to Division I schools on scholarship: DeSean Jackson (California), Terrence Austin (UCLA), Donovan Warren (Michigan) and Jurrell Casey (USC).
