Frequently Asked Questions

What is the ratio of staff coaches to campers?
1:10 is our ideal ratio but may vary a little depending on camp/clinic.

Can parents observe the training sessions?
Most camps/clinics are open for parents to observe. However, for our indoor camps/clinic we do restrict some observation due to space and safety.

What should I do with the Medical/Insurance Form?
The medical/insurance form should be completed online at the time of registration and that way is submitted directly to camp administrators. Each camper MUST have completed this portion of the registration process to participate in any of our camps.

What to bring?

Will the camper have access to ice/water at camp?
Gatorade and water stations will be located at all fields and a full service training room is available in our main site, Dal Ward and also Coors Events Center.

What type of medical care will be available at camp?
CU athletic trainers will be present throughout the duration of every camp. To ensure the safety of our campers, please accurately state any and all ailments and/or conditions when completing the online registration.

What type of clothing/equipment do campers need to bring to camp?
Appropriate Lacrosse/workout clothes, i.e. t-shirts, shorts, goggles, eyewear, stick, and mouthguard. We also suggest players bring a water bottle to all camps/clinics.

Can I register for camp another way besides on-line?
It is highly recommended that all players register online before camp to guarantee a spot. However, for most camps/clinics we will have walk-up registration available the day of but there is no guarantee for a spot as some camps/clinics will be restricted by number. All walk-up registrations must fill out participant information sheets, a waiver, insurance information and have the proper medical forms.

What happens after I register?
After registering online you will receive immediate confirmation of enrollment via email. You will also receive additional information and a reminder about check in procedures in the weeks leading up to the camp your child is enrolled in.

Where do I provide medical information for my daughter?
Medical information is a required part of online registration. Please make sure you complete this section of the registration process in its entirety. All campers must have completed medical information on file in order to participate in any camp activities.

What happens if my daughter does not have her medical forms turned in?
The CU Lacrosse Camp must have all medical forms on file before your daughter can participate in camp, no exceptions. This is a University of Colorado mandate, not just a camp policy, and your cooperation is appreciated.

What if my child has a medical condition that he/she needs attention for?
All medical conditions need to be reported in detail to the certified trainer upon check-in. All prescription medications will need to be checked in upon arrival to camp (please make sure your camper's name is clearly visible on the packaging/bottle). All necessary medication will be distributed by the athletic training staff per the prescribed dosage instructions provided. Campers are not to have medication in their possession at any time during camp and will be secured and managed by the camp staff.

Will my child be able to access a CU store?
The bookstore is on campus and campers may go to the store and purchase gear before or after camp.

Parking
Please see our website for maps to all lacrosse camp related areas. Please obey all traffic and parking signs while on campus. Illegal parking will almost certainly result in a citation, fine, and possibly towing.
Sorry, but the CU Lacrosse Camp cannot provide assistance with appeals for tickets issued by the University of Colorado or the City of Boulder and will not pay for any citations received while at camp.

What if I register and then cannot attend camp?
Please make sure you review our cancellation policy closely for all camps and clinics before registering. At the time of registration, cancellation insurance can be purchased for $30 and will ensure a full refund for the cost of camp (not to include cost of the cancellation insurance) if you are to cancel your registration prior to camp. Without cancellation insurance no refunds will be issued for cancellations for camps or clinics. Any cancellation, for any reason, without insurance will receive a credit to their account (minus any applicable processing fees) for future University of Colorado Lacrosse Clinics/Camps.

Who can use a Colorado Lacrosse Camp Credit?
Camp credits can be used for the original participant who received the credit or for direct family member only.

Do you offer a prorated cost if I cannot attend all of camp?
For camps and clinics that are longer than one session we do offer prorated costs for those who know a head of time that they will not be able to attend all of the sessions. In this situation, it is easiest to contact us directly and we can help setup your registration for you. Email: coloradolaxcamps@colorado.edu or Phone: 303-492-6141.
