HIGH SCHOOL?One of the top tight ends out of Texas, SuperPrep ranks him as the No. 87 player in the state and heGÇÖs the No. 3 tight end on that list.? Rivals ranks him the No. 31 tight end nationally and the No. 79 player from Texas and heGÇÖs the second tight end listed.? Scout tabs him the No. 61 tight end.? He was named first-team All-State and was the only tight end listed on the 5A Texas Football All-Texas team. ?He earned first-team All-5A District 11 and first-team All-Mesquite Independent School District his senior season.? He played wide receiver as a sophomore and began the transition to tight end his junior season when Horn had two wide receivers go on to play in the Big 12 conference.? In his career, he had 72 catches for 926 yards and two touchdowns.? His senior season, he caught 49 passes for 598 yards and two touchdowns.? He had eight catches for 114 yards and a touchdown in a 16-3 win over North Mesquite.? He caught five passes for 92 yards against Central Highland in a 20-0 win and in a loss to DeSoto, he caught for key passes and had a good game blocking for Horn.? His junior season, he caught 16 passes for 214 yards and his top game was against North Mesquite in a 49-21 win when he had six catches for 80 yards.? As a sophomore, he caught seven passes for 114 yards.? He also plays basketball at Horn and averages 15.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game and is in the process of earning his fourth letter.? He was invited to participate in an AAU All-American camp in Las Vegas last summer.
