Rivals ranks him as the No. 10 player from HawaiGÇÖi and heGÇÖs the top defensive tackle on the list.? Scout ranks him the No. 85 defensive tackle nationally.? His senior season, he earned defensive player of the year honors for the ILH (Interscholastic League of HawaiGÇÖi, the stateGÇÖs private school league).? ESPNHS named him to its All-HawaiGÇÖi team and the Honolulu Star Advertiser named him first-team All-ILH and second-team All-State.? He earned honorable mention All-ILH as a junior.? Kamehameha recorded a 23-10 record in his three seasons as a letter winner there, 7-4 as a senior, 5-5 as a junior and 12-1 as a sophomore, winning the ILH state championship his sophomore season and losing in the final game his senior season.?
