  • Played four seasons at Liberty for two different head coaches. In his first two seasons, he played for Hugh Freeze and the last two seasons for head coach Jamey Chadwell. 
  • During his four seasons as a Flame, he totaled 5,887 passing yards and 56 touchdowns to go along with 2,063 rushing yards and 21 rushing touchdowns. 
2024
  • In his last season, he threw for 1,886 yards and 15 touchdowns. On the ground, he ran for 587 yards and seven touchdowns.
  • He was named an honorable mention All-CUSA player in 2024.
  • In the preseason he was named to the watch lists for the following awards: Maxwell, Walter Camp, Johnny Unitas Golden Arm, Earl Campbell Tyler Rose, Davey O’Brien, and Manning.

AT CEDAR HILL HIGH SCHOOL
  • Played three seasons of varsity high school football for head coach Carlos Lynn at Cedar Hill High School.
  • In his prep career, he finished with 5,564 passing yards for 52 touchdowns. On the ground, he ended with 1,621 rushing yards and 26 touchdowns. 
  • As a senior Salter helped lead the Longhorns to a 12-2 record and an appearance in the Texas 6A State Championship.
  • In his final season, he completed 185 of 306 passes for 2,571 yards and 31 touchdowns through the air. He added 1,075 rushing yards on 174 carries and 14 rushing touchdowns.
  • He earned the 2020 Dallas Morning News Offensive Player of the Year and the 2020 Sports Illustrated Texas High School Football Quarterback of the Year.
