College—Career Notes: Final ranking in the PGA University program was 39th (out of 168) … Set 22 school records (15 outright, seven tied) and finished in the top 5 in 24 select circle categories ... He owned the second-best all-time career mark in stroke average with a 71.05, mark, trailing only Justin Biwer (70.95); both bested the previous record holder (Daniel O’Loughlin, 71.68) ... 2021-22 (Fr.): He enjoyed a tremendous freshman season, as evidenced by him earning the No. 2 slot for the Pac-12 Championships; with fellow true frosh Justin Biwer at No. 1, the pair became school history with two true freshmen in the top two spots at the league meet … Owned a 72.52 stroke average (31 rounds), which was second on the team and third-best by a freshman in school history; if it wasn’t for Biwer who set the mark at 70.91, he threatened the frosh mark of 72.51 by Jeremy Paul in 2013-14 (he missed the second best number by what amounted to one stroke) ...That figure also was the sixth-best by a freshman in the Pac-12 for the year (and 35th overall) ... Also had the second-best opening round average by a Buff (71.9) ... Recorded a 71.33 stroke average for his first collegiate fall semester, second-best on the team and the 11th-best in program history and second-best by a freshman (behind Biwer’s 70.07) ... In his first collegiate event, he tied for eighth in Air Force’s Miranda Invitational (77-66-69—212, -4); between the first and third rounds, he had 33 consecutive holes of par or better (nine birdies, 24 pars) … The 66 was the sixth-ever by a CU frosh at the time (third at 6-under) ... Recorded a 71.33 stroke average for his first collegiate fall semester, second-best on the team and the 11th-best in program history and second-best by a freshman (behind Biwer’s 70.07) ... In his first collegiate event, he tied for eighth in Air Force’s Miranda Invitational (77-66-69—212, -4); between the first and third rounds, he had 33 consecutive holes of par or better (nine birdies, 24 pars) … The 66 was the sixth-ever by a CU frosh at the time (third at 6-under) ... The finish also tied with two others for the second-best by a freshman who led the team in CU’s first meet of a season, behind only Rick Cramer’s third place effort in the same event in 1978 … Best effort for the season came in Notre Dame’s Fighting Irish Classic, where he was third with a 7-under 203 total; he opened with his college best gross score of 65 and closed with a 66. The 203 was the second-best score in CU history for a 54-hole tourney on a par-70 course, bested only by Beau Schoolcraft's 9-under 201 in the 2011 Wyoming Cowboy Classic … Tied for 50th at the Pac-12 meet with a 13-over 297; after a rough first two rounds, he shot 72-71 over the last 36 holes tied for the 12th lowest score (143). His 43 pars led the Buffs … He was under par in four events (all in the fall), finishing 1-under overall for 15 rounds, 12 of which counted toward the team score. He only had four holes out of 270 worse than bogey (all doubles) ... Cooled off a bit in the spring (73.63 average), but that was largely traced to five rounds between 77 and 79 ... Recorded a 1-1-1 mark in the Wyoming Match Play event … Overall, had just 20 holes worse than bogey out of 558 and was 35-over par for the season, 10 of those traced back to just two holes ... Shot par or better on 80.3 percent of his holes overall (another second-best CU number) … Led the team in pars with 347 and was second in birdies with 100 ... He was the youngest player on the Buff roster (didn’t turn 19 until after the season).
High School—He lettered four times at Granite Bay High School, playing the team's No. 1 position for his sophomore through senior years, earning his team's Most Valuable Player honor three times … Owned the best stroke average in the league by over two strokes as a senior … Finished 11th at the state meet as a sophomore (event not held due to COVID his last two years).
Other—2024: He earned an exemption into the U.S. Amateur in Chaska, Minn., where he was seeded 44th after finishing in a massive tie for 32nd in the stroke play portion (67-74—141, -1); in the match play, he drew the world’s No. 1 ranked amateur – Luke Clanton, and battled admirably before falling, 4&3 … Tied for 33rd in the North South Amateur stroke pay qualifier at Pinehurst (70-73—143, +2), missing match play by one stroke … Placed 42nd in the Northeast Amateur Invitational in Providence, R.I. (Wannamoisett CC, 71-68-70-69—278, +2) … Missed advancing in the Southern Amateur in Lexington, Ky., by one stroke (73-65—138, -2); his second round 65 was the fourth best score for the round in the 156-man field … Tied for 46th in the Patriot All-America (72-69-71—212, +2) … Tied for 55th (out of 156) in the Western Amateur with a 69-73—142 (E) effort, missing the cut by one stroke. 2023: Claimed medalist honors in U.S. Amateur Qualifying with a 71-64—135 (-7) performance at Granite Bay Golf Club, once his home course … Tied for 26th in the U.S. Amateur stroke play (72-69—141, -2), but was eliminated in the first round of match play by Auburn’s Jackson Koivun, 1 up … Advanced to U.S. Open sectional qualifying, tying for second at The Broadlands in nearby in nearby Broomfield (67, -5); tied for 22nd in the sectional tourney in Tacoma (74-75—149, +7; the 12th low amateur) ... Tied for 11th in the Northeast Amateur in Rhode Island (65-71-70-69—275, -1) … Tied for 14th in the Southern Amateur (69-70-72—211, -5) … Tied for 47th in the Sunnehanna (Pa.) CC with a 68-71—139 (-5) effort, one stroke off the lead; in the event at Paramus, N.J., he tied for 151st (74-78—152, +11) ... Tied for 20th in the Trans-Mississippi (68-68-70-70—276, -4) at Denver Country Club, five back of the lead … Tied for 38th in the Saguaro Amateur (73-73-71—217, +1). 2021: Won the Grapevine Amateur (Saguaro Amateur Series) with a 2-under 214 performance (68-75-71) at Silverado Golf Club in Napa, Calif. … Earned a third place tie in defending his title in the Memorial Amateur Championship at Ancil Hoffman GC in Carmichael, Calif. (69-68-72—209, -7). 2020: He became the youngest champion in the history of the Memorial Amateur when as a 17-year old he carded a 66-68-72—206 (-10) score, winning by two strokes in the process … Finished sixth in the inaugural Rocky Mountain Amateur at Colorado National Golf Club (68-68-71—207, -9) … Placed ninth in the AJGA Dana Incorporated Open in Sylvania, Ohio (65-72-75—212, -4); the 65 was the low round of the event (by two strokes) …Tied for 15th in the Silicon Valley Amateur at Morgan Hill, Calif. (73-72—145, +1). 2019: He won the 2018-19 Player of the Year honor for the Junior Tour of Northern California, as he had several top finishes in Sacramento-based events, including back-to-back third place finishes in the Sacramento City Men's Championship.
