Tied for 43rd in the NCAA Northwest Regional (222, +6) ... Owned a 72.62 stroke average for 34 rounds (71.75 fall, 73.09 spring, the latter rising only after he struggled in the NCAA Finals where he tied for 148th with a 24-over 240) … Tied for the team lead with eight eagles ... Had a healthy subpar hole percentage of 20.4 (125 of 612, with just four holes worse than double bogey) … Had 18 of 25 rounds count toward team scoring, with his other nine played as an individual … Saw action in four fall tournaments, including two as a designated scorer including the season opener in Washington State’s Palouse Collegiate (he actually earned the No. 1 position on the team for the event by leading the Buffs in six qualifying rounds: 15-under for 108 holes) … He tied for 48th at WSU but posted a respectable 1-over 213 total … He owned a 71.75 stroke average for 12 fall rounds, seventh-best on the team … His best effort of the fall – and of his career at the time – was a tie for fifth in CU’s Simpson Invitational, where he finished with a 10-under 206 score, buoyed by a final round 66, his collegiate best and the third-best score in the final round (and tied the fifth overall in the meet); he was 2-over through four holes in the final round, and after scoring two pars, went on a “birdie rampage” with eight over his final 12 holes (the eight birdies tied for the second-most by a Buff in an event for the full season) … Played Colorado National’s tough par-4’s at 7-under, tied for second-best in the field … Also tied for 19th in Arizona State’s Papago Individual (223, +10) … In addition, he played in the Big 12 Match Play Championship, posting a 1-2-1 record (besting Baylor’s Jonas Appel, 2-up, and halved with Texas Tech’s Calum Scott).
2023-24 (Fr.): Played in 21 rounds as a true freshman, averaging 74.04 strokes per round, the 14th-best by a freshman in program history … The first 17 rounds of his career he played as an individual; he played as a designated scorer for the first time in the Pac-12 championship. He tied for 59th in the event with a 74-78-79-77—308 effort (+24); his first two rounds counted toward the team total … He had qualified for the final travel spot for the Pac-12’s by improving in practice and by finishing second in last week’s Southern Colorado Masters (71-68-70—209, -4) played mostly in very windy conditions ... Next best effort after the SC Masters was a tie for fifth in the Battle at the Dance (in Windsor), where he turned in a 72-71—143 (-1) effort ...
