A 6-foot-5, 180-pound guard, he was a four-year letterman under both coaches Jeff Bzdelik (three times) and Tad Boyle (once) … Finished his career as Colorado’s all-time co-leading scorer with 2,001 points (matching Richard Roby from three years earlier) … He started 131 of 132 career games, with per game averages of 15.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.5 steals, while shooting 46.7 percent from the field (34.7 from three-point range: 125-of-360) and 82.5 percent from the line … Early in his sophomore season, he set the Big 12 Conference record for the most consecutive free throws made – 45 – which still stands to this day … CU’s career leader in free throws made (570) and second in attempts (691), with his 82.5 percentage fifth in school history (third after he graduated) … Still holds three of the top 10 single-season free throw marks … CU’s all-time leader in career starts (131) and minutes played (4,478) … Other career marks rank him third in steals (192), fifth in games played (132), seventh in field goals made (653), eight in field goal attempts (1,397) and 14th in assists (320) … Led the team in scoring as a sophomore (17.4 ppg in ‘08-09) and as a junior (18.9 in ‘09-10); was second as a senior (16.1) in playing a key role in CU finishing 24-14 and reaching the N.I.T. semifinals … Leading rebounder as a soph (5.4 rpg) … Scored 30 or more points five times (tied for fifth-most at CU), including a career-high 34 in an overtime loss to Texas in 2009; his 28 points in the second half in a 75-56 win against Colorado State as a sophomore remain the third-most in a single half in school history (scored 28 of CU’s 47 that help snap a 28-all tie at halftime) … Scored 20 or more points 32 times … Was the Big 12’s Player of the Week for the final week of the 2010 regular season, when he led CU to wins at Nebraska and over Texas Tech (combined for 49 points on 15-of-21 shooting from the field, 18-of-24 from the line, with nine rebounds and six steals) … A three-time USBWA All-District First Team selection his sophomore through senior seasons, when he was also a third-team All-Big 12 performer (only five players on each team) … As a senior, he was on the preseason watch list for the prestigious John Wooden Award (top 50 players in the nation) … A finalist for CU’s Male Freshman of the Year Award (‘08-09), a two-time finalist for CU’s Male Athlete of the Year (sophomore and junior), and was the recipient of CU’s Male Career Athletic Achievement Award after his senior season … Graduated from CU with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology in 2011 … He played two seasons in the NBA, one season in the NBA G League, and continued his career overseas with CSKA (Russia, 2015-19) and FC Barcelona (Spain, 2019-23) winning over 15 trophies, two EuroLeague titles, and finishing as one of the most decorated Americans ever … The son of Rod Higgins, a standout player at Fresno State and 13-year NBA veteran before going into NBA administration … Born Courdon Higgins on June 14, 1989, in Danville, Calif. … He now lives in Dallas with his wife, Christine and their two children, Kobii (6) and Makaai (4).
