A five-time first-team All-American and two-time individual NCAA champion during her CU career (2003-06), she participated in 28 collegiate races, claiming 23 top five and 27 top 10 performances … CU’s Co-Female Career Athletic Achievement Award winner in 2005-06 … Her most prolific season came as a senior in 2006, when she captained CU’s national championship team; she opened with two runner-up finishes and then closed the year with six consecutive wins, including both the freestyle and classical titles at the RMISA Championships (NCAA West Regional) and the NCAA Championships … As a senior, she was awarded the Dick Schoenberger Memorial Award, presented annually to CU’s most outstanding skier … When she earned a pair of All-America citations in 2004, she became just the sixth women’s cross country skier to accomplish that feat and first since former teammate and former assistant coach Mari Storeng in 2001 … She was also the recipient of the Outstanding Nordic Woman award in both 2003 and 200 … A native of Russia, she skied for the Tartu Ski Club in Estonia and also competed in basketball and track and field at Estonia Sport Gymnasium prior to attending Colorado … As a senior, she was named to the prestigious National All-Academic Ski Team … She began her coaching career in 2009 as CU’s assistant Nordic coach, recently completing her 11th season – in her tenure, a total of 17 different CU skiers have won 86 races and she has coached 12 individual NCAA champions with 18 different Nordic skiers earning a combined 49 first-team All-America honors … In July 2018, she was promoted to Head Nordic Coach upon the retirement of her college coach (Bruce Cranmer) … She is married to former CU All-American and her predecessor as the assistant Nordic Coach, Dan Weinberger; the couple has three children.
