A two-time Olympic team member (1964, 1968), he won a bronze medal in the slalom in '64, becoming the first CU athlete to medal as an individual. He was also a member of two championship United State Ski Teams, in 1962 and 1966, skiing for the national team for 10 years. He was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1968 and has battled symptoms most of his adult life and has been an inspiration for many.
