A four-year letterwinner on the CU ski team under Richard Rokos from 2010-13 and was a member of two CU national champion teams in 2011 and 2013 … The NCAA individual champion as a senior in the Nordic Freestyle competition … A seven time All-American (five first-team accolades), and a four-time All-Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association performer (three time first-team selection) … The 2013 RMISA Women’s Nordic MVP, and CU’s team MVP (Dick Schoenberger Memorial Award) … The 2013 CU Female Athlete of the Year for all sports and the 2013 Female Collegiate Skier of the Year for Colorado Ski & Snowboard Hall of Fame and Colorado Sports Hall of Fame … She finished her career with 39 race starts with 36 top 10, 28 top five, 20 podium (top three) and 11 race wins; the latter ranked tied for sixth when she graduated (now ninth) … The 11 career wins is tied for third for women’s skiers and tied for second for women’s Nordic skiers in CU history, with the 20 podiums the 15th-most in CU history, sixth for women and fifth for women’s Nordic … The 28 Top 5 finishes are tied for 10th at Colorado, fourth for women and women’s Nordic skiers, with the 36 Top 10 finishes tied for 12th (fifth for women’s skiers and third for women’s Nordic skiers) … As a senior in 2013, she started 12 races, with nine victories, 11 in the top three and a fourth in the other … The nine wins are still the fifth-most in a single season for CU (third for women’s skiers overall and by women’s Nords), with the 11 podiums in a season tied for eighth … She turned professional in the Biathlon in 2015 and has been a member of Team USA since 2016 … A two-time Olympian (2018 PyeongChang, 2022 Beijing) and a five-time participant in the World Championships … A six-time U.S. national champion in Biathlon, she was named to the 2023-24 National Team … Had 144 World Cup starts through the 2022-23 season and won three U.S. National Championships in March ‘23 immediately after spending six months in Europe competing on the World Cup (the sprint championship by over two-and-a-half minutes, the pursuit championship by over two minutes and led master’s mixed relay with the fastest opening leg in the field) … Has consistently shot over 80 percent in prone the last three years with a best of 89 percent in 2020-21, when she was also skiing her fastest at 7.8 seconds per kilometer behind the fastest skier … The past two years the Colorado Biathlon Association has put on a festival in her name exclusively for women at Snow Mountain Ranch near Granby … She graduated from CU with a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics in 2013 and a Master’s in Engineering in 2017 … She most recently earned a second master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Rocky Mountain University in 2025 … Born June 28, 1992 in Madison, Wis., she is the daughter of 1980 Olympic speedskating bronze medalist Beth Heiden Reid and the niece of Eric Heiden, the five-time Olympic speedskating gold medalist.
