He lettered under Hall of Fame coach Richard Rokos four years (2012-15) as he became one of the most dominant Nordic skiers in Colorado history in assembling one of the top careers by any men’s skier in school and RMISA history … A two-time NCAA individual champion, seven-time All-American (six-time first-team) and four-time, first-team All-RMISA performer, he was a key member of two NCAA Championship teams, helping the Buffaloes win national titles in both 2013 and 2015 … He won the NCAA classical championship in both 2013 and 2014, becoming the first men’s skier in NCAA history to repeat as the classical champion and just the third at the time to win that discipline twice in a career (remains one of just two men’s skiers in NCAA history to successfully defend the classical title) … He was equally dominant within the RMISA, winning five individual conference championships, at the time a new league record and still tied for the most in the conference’s 76-year history; he also holds the RMISA records for the most individual championships in both men’s classical and men’s freestyle racing … He owns the school record for most race wins by any men’s skier (Alpine or Nordic) with 19, the most classical wins (12) and at the time of his graduation, the second-most in the freestyle (7) … In all, he owns 10 major CU records, including the men’s Nordic career podium record with 36, as well as the men’s classical and freestyle podium marks with 18 apiece … His 19 wins in 44 career races gave him a 43.2 winning percentage, the second-highest by any men’s skier in school history and the best by any CU skier with 25 or more career starts … He was the only men’s skier in CU history to win four or more races in four straight seasons and the only one to win five races in three different seasons … As a sophomore in 2013, he won the NCAA title in the 10K classical race and finished second in the 20K freestyle race, a performance that helped CU complete the largest final-day comeback in NCAA Championship history and claim the national title … He was the recipient of CU’s Male Athlete of the Year honor and was named the Colorado Ski & Snowboard Hall of Fame Male Collegiate Skier of the Year, an honor he would again attain after his senior year, when he was the recipient of CU’s Male Career Athletic Achievement Award and for the second time, CU’s Male Athlete of the Year … He was a two-time winner both of the team’s Dick Schoenberger Memorial and Buddy Werner awards … A four-time member of the National Collegiate All-Academic Ski Team, a two-time member of CU’s 4.0 Club, an Academic All-American and the recipient of the Tom Hansen Pac-12 Medal after his senior year … He is currently a partner with Cardo Partners, a management consultant company in Oslo, Norway … He came from a CU skiing family: sister Unni skied for the Buffs (1998-2000) and brother Geir (2002) … Married to the former Elisabet Saeterdal, they have three young children, Hedda, Alfred and Nikoline … He was born April 19, 1989, in Molde, Norway.
