BOULDER ? The University of Colorado tennis team will look for its second win on the young season taking on the No. 34 ranked Arizona Wildcats, Friday, 3 p.m. at the Millennium Hotel Harvest House. It's the home opener for the Buffaloes, while Arizona plays its next four of five away from home.
Parking and admission is free and open to the public.
The Buffaloes and the Wildcats are both 1-0. Colorado opened the season on Tuesday defeating Air Force, 7-0; the Wildcats defeated Northern Arizona, 6-1 back on Jan. 20.
After Friday's match, Arizona will travel to Denver to take on the No. 58 Pioneers, Saturday at 4 p.m.
This is the 15th meeting between CU and Arizona and the first time since 1987. The Wildcats hold an 11-3 advantage dating back to the 1970s.
Sophomore Monica Milewski is the lone ranked singles player (No. 36), while Arizona has two double pairs ranked in the top 50. Danielle Steinberg and Juliette Mavroleon are ranked at No. 40, while Kasia Jakowlew and Camelia Todorova follow closely behind at No. 43.
