
No. 40 Texas Rebounds To Defeat No. 20 Colorado, 6-1

AUSTIN, Texas ? The University of Colorado tennis team did what they were suppose to do in winning the doubles point, however, the No. 40 Texas Longhorns rebounded to win six straight singles points to defeat the No. 20 Buffaloes, 6-1, Saturday afternoon at the Penick-Allison Tennis Center.
The Longhorns (7-6, 4-0) won their fourth straight Big 12 Conference match, while CU (10-5) has lost two conference matches in a row after starting the season winning five straight.
Colorado secured the doubles point and a 1-0 team advantage taking the No. 1 and No. 3 positions as the top tandem of Camila Belassi and Gleisy Torres Torres broke a three-match losing streak defeating Petra Dizdar/Ristine Olson, 8-4 at No. 1.
The visiting team clinched the doubles point as CU's No. 55 nationally ranked doubles duo of Melisa Esposito and Martina Sedivec improved their dual record to 8-0 overall and 5-0 against the Big 12, defeating Stephanie Davison/Sarah Lancaster, 8-6 at No. 3.
Sedivec won for the 10th time in 11 dual matches, while Esposito won her 10th of 12 doubles match.
CU is now 9-2 on the season when winning the doubles point. The other loss after winning the doubles point was Feb. 11 against then-No. 48
CU lost all six singles positions in straight sets to the Longhorns.
