QUICKLY Colorado is now 3-6, 2-3 in the Big 12; CU is now 3-1 in black jerseys/gold pants, its traditional look ... Associate head coach/linebacker coach Brian Cabral, in honor of his 300th game as a Colorado Buffalo (254 coach/46 player) wore his trademark lava lava for the game ... Colorado now leads the all-time seris First Start: WR Dustin Ebner made his first career start ... Texas A&M ran 18 plays in the first quarter, 16 in CU territory (but just seven of 16 in the second quarter) ... Cyrus Gray's 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown was the first by a CU opponent since last season (two, the last by Florida State's Michael Garvin for 94 yards on Sept. 27 in FSU's 39-21 win; CSU's Johnny Mosure had the other) ... CU had four plays of 30 yards or longer (two in each half); it had just seven coming in, with three against Toledo the only time previous the Buffs had managed multiple 30-plus plays in the same game ... CU's 437 yards were its second most on offense this year (451 at Toledo), its most in a Big 12 game since amassing 518 yards in the 65-51 win over Nebraska in the '07 season finale ... PK Aric Goodman kicked his first game-winning extra point of his career; he had a game-winning field goal against West Virginia last year ... CU averaged five yards or more on first down for just the second time this season (5.1; the Buffs averaged 5.4 against Colorado State). Colorado struggled its last two games (2.2 vs. K-State, 3.3 vs. Missouri) ... OT Nate Solder was named Academic All-District (first-team) by CoSIDA on Friday ... The so-called "blue-out" by some angry fans at the team was a flop, with easily less than 200 participating stadium-wide (we counted).

TB RODNEY STEWART (20-118, 2 TD) The CU sophomore had his seventh career 100-yard game (fourth this year), tying him for the 14th most in school history. He now has 1,210 career yards, propelling him into 36th all-time, but from eighth into fifth for the most yards gained by a player who has sophomore eligibility. The only four players with more entering their junior seasons at this point are Eric Bieniemy (1,751), Charlie Davis (1,386), Lamont Warren (1,342) and Billy Waddy (1,316).

WR MARKQUES SIMAS (7-135 0 TD) The CU sophomore had career highs in both, with the 135 yards tied for the 32nd most in school history; it's the most by since Oct. 4, 2004, when Derek McCoy (6-171) and D.J. Hackett (4-143) both exceeded the total at Baylor. It's the sixth highest total this decade.

100/100 This is the 28th time in Colorado history that the Buffaloes have had a 100-yard rusher (Stewart, 118) and receiver (Simas 135) in the same game, going 22-6 in those contests. This was the eighth time this decade, the last occurring at Baylor in 2007 (TB Hugh Charles 109 yards, WR Josh Smith 103).

WR SCOTTY McKNIGHT (4-66, 0 TD) He extended his regular season streak to 33 games with at least one reception. He passed Daniel Graham (1,543 yards, 1998-2001) into seventh in all-time in receiving yards with 1,608. He now has 54 receptions this season, tied for the sixth most for a single year at CU.

PUNCH VS. PUNCH-WINNER: COLORADO Texas A&M came in fourth nationally in third down conversions (52.1%), but were held to 6-of-14 (42.9%) today; however, the Aggies were 0-of-5 in the second half. CU entered 16th in third down defense, allowing opponents to convert at just 32.5%.
-Opponents were 1-of-18 (5.6%) on third downs inside the Buff 20 before A&M's Jerrod Johnson picked up 8 yards on a quarterback draw on a 3rd-&-6 play on the Aggies' first quarter touchdown drive. A&M was 2-of-4 in the zone today.

TE RIAR GEER (2-25 0 TD) He now has 83 career receptions for 942 yards; he moved past Joe Klopfenstein (937) into fifth for the most receiving yards by a tight end.

S ANTHONY PERKINS (7 TT, 1 INT) His interception that ended A&M's comeback hopes was the first of his collegiate career; since he redshirted as a true frosh in 2007, it was his first theft since two his senior year ('06) at Northglenn H.S.

COLORADO INJURIES From today: OT Bryce Givens (poked in the eye, returned to game); otherwise the normal bumps and bruises. Older: OG Maxwell Tuioti-Mariner remains week-to-week as he continues to strengthen both knees after surgeries.
