AUSTIN, Texas - The University of Colorado women's tennis team dropped their third-straight Big 12 Conference match falling 6-1 to No. 22 ranked Texas, Sunday afternoon at the Penick-Allison Tennis Center. The Buffaloes (3-9) have now lost six-straight matches and fall to 0-3 in conference play.

The Longhorns (8-4, 3-0 Big 12), winners of five of six, took two of three doubles matches and claimed five of six singles matches.

The CU top doubles pair of junior Ania Anuszkiewicz and freshman Kristina Schleich won their first dual match of the season, upsetting UT's No. 23 pair Amanda Craddock/Cierra Gaytan-Leach, 8-5 at the top doubles position.

"Doubles  came out very spirited, and No. 1 did a fantastic job against a very good doubles team," said CU head coach Nicole Kenneally.

With the home team leading 1-0 after winning two of three doubles matches, Texas then took the next three singles positions at the No. 2, No. 5, and No. 6 to clinch the team win.

CU freshman Winde Janssens won her second singles match in three days defeating Amanda Craddock, 7-5, 1-6, 1-0 (10-2). Janssens picked up CU's lone point on Friday at Texas A&M at No. 4, the same slot where she picked up her eighth win in 12 matches on Sunday, and her fourth spring triumph. Janssens has also won four of six matches.

"In singles, we were over-matched in some places; Carla and Winde, they did good job sticking with their opponent. Winde came out and played a great third set tiebreaker and she's on good roll right now."

CU travels to LSU to take on the Tigers in a non-conference match on Wednesday before returning home to take on Iowa State, next Sunday, March 27 at 1 p.m.
