FOLSOM FIELD WIN #299 In improving to 2-1 at home this season, Colorado is now 299-158-10 in its 90th season playing its home games at Folsom Field.? The first game at Folsom was Oct. 11, 1924 (then known as Colorado Stadium, built at a cost of $75,000); previous, CU was 73-17-6 at Gamble Field and 19-5 on other grass areas of campus; the Buffs are 391-180-16 all-time at home.
QUICKLY Colorado is now 0-6 on the coin toss in 2013 ... The first half took 1 hour, 16 minutes to play ... The final game time was 2:50, CU's first sub-3:00 game since 2011 at UCLA (2:54), and the fastest since Nov. 23, 1991 at Iowa State (a 17-14 win in a blizzard) ... Colorado is now 3-2 all-time vs. FCS programs, Charleston Southern fell to 0-23 against FBS teams ... TB Michael Adkins and QB Sefo Liufau made their first collegiate starts today; junior DE Andre Nichols saw his first college action (FG/PAT unit) ... Colorado held CSU to 46 yards and just two first downs in the second half (0-of-6 on third downs) ... There were just 111 total plays in the game (CU averaged 8.0 on its 52, CSU 3.3 on its 59 (which ate up 36:47 on the clock); the previous low for combined plays in a CU game this year was 145 last week at Arizona State.
WEIRD NOTE OF THE DAY The two-point conversion was added to college football in 1958; today marked the first time a CU punter played a role in converting one when Darragh O'Neill ran it in.
- Colorado is 3-of-5 on two-point conversions this year; that is the most makes since 2002 (4-of-4) and the most attempts since 2003 (0of-5).
COLORADO INJURIES?OT Marc Mustoe (broken fibula); he is out for the remainder of the season. No other significant injuries reported by the training staff.
WR PAUL RICHARDSON (8-122-1 TD) Now officially at the midway points of the season, P-Rich" now has 43 catches for 782 yards, 18.2 per, with six touchdowns. That is over halfway to CU's season records 78 (D.J. Hackett, 2003), 1,149 (Charles E. Johnson, 1992) and 11 (Derek McCoy, 2003). His 60-yard TD reception was the fifth play of 50 yards or longer this season and the 11th of his career. It was his fourth 100-yard game of the season, giving him seven for his career (records are six and 12, respectively); the latter is fourth all-time at CU.
- His six TD catches this year have covered 330 yards (55.0 per), and his 17 career have spanned 701 yards (41.2).
QB SEFO LIUFAU (20-14-0, 198, 1 TD, 169.7 RATING) In making his first career start, he passed for the fourth most yards by a freshman in a first career start (third most by true frosh). TB MICHAEL ADKINS (13-137, 4 TD) In making his first career start, he rushed for the fifth most yards by a freshman (fourth-most by a true frosh) in his a first career start; the four touchdowns set a CU freshman record, snapping the old mark of three held by Herchell Troutman at Texas in 1994, and Christian Powell vs. Sacramento State in Boulder last year. - QB Daniel Croghan suffered a concussion last week at VMI and it was hopeful he could play today; however, he was not cleared and true frosh Kyle Copeland started in his place.
- RB Ben Robinson did not dress today; he was suspended for one game for violating team rules.
