Huang and Andrinopoulos Advance at SDSU Fall Tennis Classic II

SAN DIEGO, Calif. — Two University of Colorado women's tennis players advanced in their respective brackets at the SDSU Fall Tennis Classic II here Saturday. Annabelle Andrinopoulos and Linda Huang will compete for the championship in both the silver and red draws.
WHAT HAPPENED
Freshman Linda Huang is having another strong tournament as she notched her second win of the tournament. Huang defeated Daniela Morales of University of San Diego 6-2, 7-6 to advance to the finals in the red draw. She will face Cal Poly's Susanne Boyden who defeated Jana Both of SDSU 6-3, 6-4 to advance. The finals of the red draw will start at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday.
Annabelle Andrinopoulos is also having a solid weekend as she took a hard fought victory to advance to the final match in the silver draw. She defeated Paulina Ferrari of Columbia in three tough sets winning, 4-6, 7-6 (3), 6-3.
Chloe Hule and Kyra Wojcik fell in their respective matches. Hule fell to Paola Dias of SDSU 6-4, 6-4 while Wojcik fell 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 to Utah's Victoria Robertson.
UP NEXT
The three-day tournament concludes tomorrow. The tournament will begin at 9 a.m. each day with three doubles draws, while six singles brackets and a round robin event will immediately follow doubles competition.

"In each of our matches today we competed. We may not have played to the level that we would have liked but we competed and found a way to win. Doubles over all was better quality then yesterday and we have another day to play to keep building. We look forward to tomorrow."
