CU Moving to Mobile Ticketing for All Events
July 27, 2021 | Tickets
BOULDER - The University of Colorado athletic department will transition to mobile ticketing for all ticketed athletic events, beginning with the 2021 fall athletic season. The option will also offer contactless entry into athletic venues and the ability to transfer tickets electronically.
Â
Mobile ticketing will provide an added layer of security, guarding against fraudulent and counterfeit tickets. It reduces frequent issues related to paper tickets, including theft, shipping delays, tickets lost in transit or simply forgotten at home on gameday. Â In addition, mobile ticketing will eliminate physical touch point concerns, and allow the management of their ticket accounts for all sports from their mobile device that will provide a more robust and safe experience at CU athletic events. Â CU concession stands will also move to contactless payment options.
Â
"Mobile ticketing is now the industry standard for live events and has been fully adopted by our student body the past several years for both football and men's basketball events," said Cecil Hairston, Associate AD for Ticketing Sales and Service. "As we welcome fans back to campus for CU events this fall, we are excited to implement mobile ticketing for all of our ticketed sports. As a department, we are confident that our fans will find their mobile ticketing experience to be safe, user-friendly and efficient as fans will have the flexibility to fully manage their tickets from anywhere at any time."
Fans can scan their mobile devices at entrances for quick and easy access to the venue from their digital wallet on their Apple or Android device. Â When a fan cannot make a game they can easily transfer tickets using the recipient's mobile phone number.
Â
Ticket distribution will begin in mid-August with information about parking coming soon. For more information or question, please contact the Colorado Athletics Ticket Office at 303-492-8337 or at cutix@colorado.edu. Fans also can visit cubuffs.com/mobileFAQ for more information.
