University of Colorado and Folsom Field to Host Q BBQ FEST

BOULDER – Some of the country's best pitmasters will be bringing their skills to altitude as the University of Colorado's iconic Folsom Field will host the Q BBQ Fest, America's largest BBQ festival, on October 20-21.

BBQ lovers will be able to feast on a mouth-watering variety of brisket, chicken pulled pork and ribs in the shadow of the Flatirons while enjoying live music, BBQ tutorials and demonstrations, and activities for the whole family.

"The Q BBQ fest celebrates the human experience of being outside, sitting around fire and sharing with others. We're excited to bring our energetic and fun-filled festival to Boulder."

The Q BBQ Fest, which started in 2015 and hosts events throughout the country, including BBQ hot-beds like Texas and Kansas City, will bring over ten world-class pitmasters from across America to Folsom Field for a full weekend of food and fun.

"This is a unique and special opportunity for our community to gather at Folsom Field and enjoy the great food, cold drinks and fun activities that make Q BBQ Fest one of our country's best BBQ festivals."

Tickets go on pre-sale starting today, Thursday Sept. 14 through Sunday, Sept. 17 before opening to the general public on Monday, Sept. 18. CU Boulder students will also have an opportunity to buy tickets at a discounted price on Monday, Sept. 18 by logging in to their ticketing account starting at 10 a.m.

Guests can choose from a General Admission (GA) pay-as-you-go ticket, or upgrade to VIP and enjoy all you can eat and drink. With the VIP pass you'll enjoy premium, VIP-only samples, cocktails, specialty BBQ and exclusive lounge areas. GA patrons will be greeted with a complimentary BBQ pork slider upon entry into the event.

Early bird VIP tickets are $99 from 10 a.m. on Sept. 14 to 11:59 p.m. on Sept. 22. After that, VIP tickets increase to $109 and will be $129 at the door. General admission tickets are just $20 and students can get in for $10 general admission.
