Nelson and Bubalo Advance in NCAA Doubles Championships

The historic duo will continue into tomorrows play at the championships
WACO, TX – The Colorado Buffaloes tennis team's doubles duo of Anya Nelson and Ema Bubalo finished day one of the NCAA Individual Championships with a successful win, moving them forward into day two.

This victory makes Nelson and Bubalo the first doubles team in school history to advance forward past the first round of the NCAA Tennis Championships.

The two Buffs faced Penn State's Maiko Uchijimia and Olivia Dorner, taking it to the third set tiebreaker securing their win.

After tying it up 3-3 in the first set, the pair ultimately fell 6-3. Coming to the same position in set two, the duo fought hard and claimed the set 6-3.

It came down to the tiebreaker, keeping it close the until the very end. The two didn't step down, and came out on top winning the third set 10-6 securing their spot in the round of 16.
