Colorado takes on Utah Tech on Wednesday
ST. GEORGE, Utah – Colorado women's basketball makes a quick pre-Thanksgiving stop-over in St. George, Utah, to take on Utah Tech on Wednesday (1 p.m. MT).
Colorado (5-1) has won three straight contests and is coming off a 95-65 win over Utah State. The Buffs shot a season-high 55.6% against the Aggies and had 25 assists on 30 baskets. Grad transfer Lior Garzon led the team with a career-high 28 points. Jade Masogayo (17) and Frida Formann (15) joined Garzon in double figures.
Utah Tech (3-3) has won two of its last three games entering Wednesday. The Trailblazers posted a 10-point win at McNeese State last time out. Chardonnay Hartley and Aaliyah Ibarra swept the WAC weekly honors.
The Buffs and Trailblazers have met once previously. Colorado defeated then Dixie State, 78-53, on Dec. 3, 2021. Formann and Kindyll Wetta both played in the contest.

Five Things to Know
- We Love the 90s – CU's 95 points against Utah State was the most scored by the Buffs since totaling 95 last year against UT Arlington (Dec. 5, 2023). Colorado opened last season with back-to-back games with 90 or more points. CU had five games of 90 points last season, its most since seven in the 2000-02 season.
- Vs Bee Hive State – Wednesday will be the second of five games Colorado will play against teams from Utah. The Buffs are 1-0 with the win over Utah State. Southern Utah (Dec. 7), at BYU (Jan. 29) and at Utah (Feb. 12) remain on the schedule.
- Wide Margin – Colorado has had four wins of 10 or more points this season. CU's 30-point win over Utah State was its largest margin of victory since its 49-point win (79-30) over Oregon in the Pac-12 Tournament. Colorado had five wins over 30 or more points last season. 22 of CU's 34 games were decided by 10 or more points last season (20-2).
- On Fire % – Colorado shot a season-high .556 (30-54) against Utah State. It was the Buffs' best shooting performance since hitting .571 (28-49) against USC on Feb. 23, 2024. CU shot 50% or better in 12 games last season. Colorado shot a season-high .597 (37-62) last season vs. Kentucky.
- Sharing is Caring – The Buffs have handed out 17.7 assists per game this season. The team has had 20 or more assists in three games this season, including back-to-back games against Southern (20) and Utah State (25).
