Heisman Trophy to Make Appearance at Black & Gold Spring Game

Photos with Travis Hunter’s trophy will be one of a number of fan-friendly activities taking place around the game, including Children’s Hospital Colorado Field Day.
In addition to getting a glimpse of the University of Colorado Buffaloes' football future, fans attending the 2025 Black & Gold Spring Game presented by Arrow Electronics on Saturday, April 19 will be able to celebrate the team's recent past, by taking photos with the Heisman Trophy won by Travis Hunter last December.  Â
The trophy will be on display outside Folsom Field in the plaza on the southwest side of the stadium. Fans are invited to get a close look at the trophy and snap their photo with it from 12:30-3 p.m.  Â
The Heisman Trophy will be just one of many ways for fans to take part in the fun of Black & Gold Day, which is a celebration of CU football. Once again, Franklin Field will play host to Children's Hospital Colorado Field Day from 12:00 pm - 2 p.m. which includes inflatables and interactive games for kids of all ages. CU student-athletes from various teams will also be on hand to lead kids through various skill stations. To register, just fill out the Field Day Registration form.  Â
The CU Spirit Squad will also be conducting a Jr. Buffs Spirit Clinic on Friday, April 18 for kids ages 5-14 years old. The Jr. Buffs will learn dances, cheers, and stunts from current CU Cheerleaders and Dancers that they'll use in an on-field pregame performance during the next day's Black & Gold Spring Game. CU Athletics will be offering a limited number of tours of Folsom Field and the Champions Center on Thursday, April 17 and Friday, April 18. Tours include a behind the scenes look at the Indoor Practice Facility, Weight Room, Team meeting rooms, and more! Plus, you can get your picture taken with Travis Hunter's Heisman Trophy! The centerpiece of the day will once again be the Black & Gold Spring Game, which is scheduled to start at 2:30 pm and will be the first chance to see the 2025 Buffs roster, including exciting newcomers like five-star QB Julian Lewis and a slew of four-star prospects including S TJ Branch Jr., WR Quanell X Farrakhan Jr. OL Chauncey Gooden, DL Christian Hudson, DE London Merritt, OL Carde Smith, WR Adrian Wilson and Max Preps National Player of the Year WR Quentin Gibson.
