Colorado Spirit (Cheer, Dance, and Chip the Buffalo)

 
The University of Colorado Spirit Squad is comprised of Cheer, Dance and our costumed mascot, CHIP! The Spirit Squad is an integral part to the Athletic Department and works tirelessly to support all of CU's athletic teams. You will see the Spirit Squad at all home Football, Volleyball, Soccer and Basketball games. In addition, the Spirit Squad travels to support our teams at away football games and the Big 12 basketball tournaments. CHEERLEADERS

The CU Cheer Team consists of an All Girl and a Small Coed team. In addition to cheering on the sidelines, you will see these student-athletes at community events and campus functions throughout the year. Both teams also attend and compete at the UCA College National Championship in Orlando, Florida in January each year in the All Girl, Small Coed, and Spirit Program Game Day divisions.

CHIP

Chip is CU's costumed mascot and one of the best in the nation. Chip is available for bookings, and he can be seen at numerous CU, community and charity events throughout the year. He has multiple top five finishes at the Mascot National Championship, including winning back-to-back championships in 2009 and 2010 and most recently the 2020 National Champion.

CU DANCE TEAM

The CU Dance Team can be seen on the sidelines, during timeouts at athletic events, and at community events and campus functions throughout the year. They also accompany the Golden Buffalo Marching Band on the field for football pregame and halftime shows. They attend the UDA College National Championship in Orlando, Florida each year. The team competes in both the Jazz and Pom divisions, as well as Spirit Program Game Day.
