BOULDER - Colorado women's golf head coach Madeleine Sheils announced the team's 2024-25 awards Sunday as the Buffaloes celebrated their season at the Champions Center.
Freshman Sydney Givens was named Most Valuable Player. Sophomore Carolyn Fuller earned the Most Improved Award. Junior Morgan Miller took home the Toughest Buff and Clever Coloradoan Awards while senior Maria Eidhagen Harrouch was the recipient of the Shoulder to Shoulder Award.
Givens led Colorado in stroke average (73.59) and score in relation to par (+1.69), figures which represented two of the seven freshman school records she set in 2024-25. She's the first freshman to shoot under 74 and +2.0 for a season and her stroke average ranks eighth on Colorado's overall single-season list.
Givens had Colorado's best 54-hole score of the season, tying for fifth place at 5-under-par, 211, at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate in Highlands Ranch, Colo. She had a team-best five top 20 finishes and matched team season-highs with 11 rounds of par or better including four rounds in the 60s. Givens started all 12 events for the Buffaloes, only the 15th freshman in team history to do so, counting toward the team score in 28 of 30 rounds.
Fuller made a giant leap in her second year, improving her stroke average from 78.73 as a freshman to 75.30 this season. She logged her first career top 10 finish at the Causeway Invitational, tying for ninth at 1-over, 217. Fuller recorded her best 54-hole score at even-par, 216, at the Ram Classic, finishing just outside the top 20, in a tie for 21st. During that tournament, Fuller carded her second career round in the 60s wit a 69 in the final round.
Miller claimed the Clever Coloradoan Award, given to the student-athlete who excels at the highest level both in the classroom and on the course. The Toughest Buff Award was presented to Miller by Colorado Strength & Conditioning Coach Skylar Rubalcaba, for her outstanding effort in the weight room.
Eidhagen Harrouch earned the Shoulder to Shoulder Award for the second year in a row. Voted on by team members, this award is given to the player who embodies the highest of ideal of what it means to be a great teammate.
Additionally, Eidhagen Harrouch was honored as the Buffaloes' lone senior. She finished her Colorado career ranking ninth in both stroke average (75.05) and score in relation to par (+3.16). Eidhagen Harrouch was second on the team in both categories this season (73.85 & +1.94) and was the Buffaloes' top golfer in five events in 2024-25 including the Big 12 Championship, tying for 25th at 10-over, 223.
