Colorado Lands Dutat out of Transfer Portal

CU adds the French forward out of Rhode Island
BOULDER – Head coach JR Payne and the Colorado Buffaloes dipped back into the transfer portal with the addition of forward Anaelle Dutat on Tuesday.
Dutat, a native of Cesson, France, spent her first three seasons at Rhode Island.
"Anaelle is an outstanding addition to our team going into the 2025-26 season, and we are thrilled to have her join our Buff family," Payne commented. "AD is extremely intelligent both on the court and in the classroom. I cannot wait to have her here in Boulder. She brings a level of athleticism, tenacity and tremendous talent on the glass that will be a great asset to our well-rounded ball club."
The 6-0 forward averaged 8.0 points, 7.9 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 33 starts last season for the Rams. Dutat had four double-doubles last season, including a string of three straight to close the regular season. She snagged a career-high 17 rebounds against Saint John's and moved into 10th all-time at RIU with 679 career boards.
Dutat was an Atlantic 10 All-Defensive Team selection last season. She led Rhode Island in steals in 13 games and finished the year with a career-high 57 swipes. Dutat ranked seventh in the conference with 260 total rebounds. Offensively, she shot 40.1% from the field.
Dutat has 55 starts in 97 games in her three seasons in Kingston. She has recorded 491 career points and owns a 44.0 career field goal %.
Dutat has represented her home country on the international level. She was named the best defender at the 2023 FIBA U19 World Cup in Spain, averaging 9.0 points, 12.6 rebounds and 3.1 steals. Dutat also won a bronze medal at the 2022 U18 European Championship.
