BOULDER – The Colorado women's basketball team (18-8, 9-5 Big 12) is back on the road for a quick trip to face Arizona (11-14, 2-12 Big 12) at the McKale Center in Tucson, Ariz., on Feb. 17 at 6 p.m. MT.
The Buffs will meet with the Wildcats for the second time this season, the last being a 75-56 Black and Gold victory to ring in the new year (Dec. 31, 2025). Colorado will face Arizona for the 34th time in program history, looking to extend their current winning streak against the Cougars to five.
On Saturday, CU took down BYU in the CU Events Center, 76-46 (Feb. 14). The Buffaloes saw a slow start to the game but picked up momentum throughout the first quarter and held the Cougars to their lowest scoring first quarter this season. Colorado extended their lead in the second quarter, ending the half ahead by 23. The Black and Gold carried the energy into the second half to beat the Cougars. Senior forward Anaëlle Dutat scored a career-high of 19 points, coupled with 10 rebounds, to notch her sixth double-double of the season and second consecutive double-double.

- CU is led by 10th-year head coach JR Payne, who has led the Buffs to a 182-124 (.595) record as CU's eighth head women's basketball coach. Coach Payne has been extended through the 2028 season and has led the Buffs to three NCAA appearances, two WNIT appearances and one WBIT appearance.
- In its second year back in the Big 12, Colorado was picked to finish ninth in the Big 12 Preseason Poll. Colorado is 118-154 (.434) overall in Big 12 conference play.
- The Buffs return four from the 2024-25 roster: Sr. F Jade Masogayo, So. G Kennedy Sanders, 5th C JoJo Nworie and So. F Tabitha Betson.
- Colorado welcomes 10 newcomers for the 2025-26 season, five transfers and five freshmen. The five transfers include Jr. G Zyanna Walker (Kansas State), Jr. G Desiree Wooten (North Texas), Jr. G Claire O'Connor (Gonzaga), Jr. G Maeve McErlane (DePaul) and Sr. F Anaëlle Dutat (Rhode Island). The five freshmen include G Erianna Gooden (Fork Smith, Ark./Northside H.S.), C Jade Crook (Albury, Australia/Basketball Australia Center of Excellence/Lake Ginninderra College), G Isa Hämäläinen (Lorentzweiler, Luxembourg/European School of Luxembourg 1), F Logyn Greer (Lansdowne, Pa./Friends' Central School) and F Sophie Zadel (San Antonio, Texas/Alamo Heights H.S).
- Sr. F Jade Masogayo is 22nd in the Big 12 for points per game with 12.5 and is tied for 15th for free throw percentage (77.1%). She is also tied for 19th for blocks per game (0.8). Masogayo had 15 points, eight rebounds and two assists in the Buffs' win over BYU (Feb. 14).
- Sr. F Anaëlle Dutat leads the Big 12 in offensive rebounds per game (3.8) and total offensive rebounds (98), and she is third in conference for rebounds per game (8.3). She is also tied for 13th for steals per game (1.8) She reached her sixth double-double of the season, 12th of her career, against BYU with a career-high 19 points as well as 10 rebounds, three assists and three steals (Feb. 14).
- Jr. G Desiree Wooten is 21st in conference for points per game with 12.6 and tied for 21st for steals per game with 1.6. She had 16 points, seven assists, six rebounds and three steals against BYU (Feb. 14).
- Jr. G Zyanna Walker is third in conference for steals per game (2.3) and tied for 22nd for assists per game (2.5). She totaled three rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block and one point versus BYU (Feb. 14).
- As a team, the Buffs are third in the Big 12 for offensive rebounds per game (13.5), third for rebounding margin (6.7), third for steals per game (10.35), sixth for scoring defense (60.5), seventh for scoring margin (8.5), seventh for free throw percentage (73.4%), seventh for turnover margin (2.04), and seventh for rebounds per game (38.8) and total rebounds (1010).
