Oh and Edson Earn Big 12 Weekly Awards

IRVING, Texas – Colorado earns its ninth and tenth Big 12 Player of the Week awards this season as sophomore goalkeeper Elena Oh and freshman attacker Rowan Edson receive honors, the conference announced on Wednesday, Mar. 25.
Oh, the sophomore from Chapel Hill, N.C., picked up her fifth Goalkeeper of the Week honor this season. From Mar. 4-25, Oh earned four consecutive Goalkeeper of the Week awards. This marks her ninth Big 12 Goalkeeper of the Week award of her career.
In the Buffaloes' game against UConn on Mar. 18, Oh made nine saves, picked up one ground ball and caused one turnover. She posted a .642 save percentage and allowed only five goals. Oh currently sits at second in the NCAA for goals-against average with 6.22 and sixth for save percentage with .525.
Edson, the freshman attacker from Chappaqua, N.Y., received Big 12 Freshman of the Week, the first weekly award of her career. In Colorado's 11-5 win over UConn, Edson scored a career-high three goals and totaled four points (Mar.18). She earned the first hat trick of her career, and she picked up one ground ball. Edson has scored points in five games this season.
The Buffs will play San Diego State in their Big 12 home opener on Saturday, Mar. 28, at Prentup Field. First draw is set for 12 p.m. MT and fans can tune in on ESPN+.
