Pearson To Race 800 Meters At Canadian Championships

BOULDER – Colorado's Avery Pearson will return to her home country this weekend as she competes in the 800 meters at the 2026 Canadian Track & Field Championships, June 17-21, in Ottawa, Ontario.

Pearson, who represented Team Canada at the 2026 World Athletics Indoor Championships earlier this year, enters the national championship meet with a season-best time of 2:00.91, the No. 2 performance in Colorado program history.

She is scheduled to compete in the senior women's 800-meter semifinal on Friday, June 19 at 3:57 p.m. MT, with the final set for Saturday, June 20 at 7:34 p.m. MT.

The Canadian Track & Field Championships serve as Canada's national championship meet and selection event for international competition.

The meet will be streamed live on AthleticsCanada.tv.
