Colorado Women's Basketball Launches "The Standard" — Season Tickets On Sale Now
June 02, 2026 | Women's Basketball
BOULDER – Colorado Women's Basketball unveiled "The Standard" on Tuesday, a new brand platform campaign that will define the program throughout the 2026-27 season. Built upon head coach JR Payne's longstanding belief that Colorado Women's Basketball is defined by hard work, toughness, and discipline, The Standard reflects the culture that has helped guide Colorado to five consecutive 20-win seasons and four NCAA Tournament appearances in the last five years.
More than a slogan, The Standard represents the expectations established by generations of Buffs. It celebrates the legacy left by those who came before while challenging each new team to uphold and elevate the program's tradition of excellence.
"The Standard is bigger than one season and bigger than one team," head coach JR Payne said. "It's the foundation that generations of Buffs have built through hard work, toughness, and discipline. Every player who has worn Colorado across their chest has helped create this culture through their sacrifices, commitment, and belief in something bigger than themselves. The Standard honors that legacy while challenging us to continue raising the bar. It's something our players, coaches, alumni, and fans all share, and it's what makes this program special."
The launch of The Standard comes at a defining moment for Colorado Women's Basketball. What began as a vision rooted in hard work, toughness, and discipline has evolved into one of the nation's most respected women's basketball programs. That success has been driven by more than wins and postseason appearances. It has been built through the commitment of players, coaches, and staff who have embraced those values and made them synonymous with Colorado Women's Basketball. The Standard was created to honor that foundation while providing a unified identity that connects every aspect of the program, from recruiting and player development to fan engagement and storytelling.
Throughout the 2026-27 season, The Standard will serve as a connecting platform across recruiting, social content, in-game presentation, ticketing, storytelling, donor and fan engagement efforts, and merchandise. The initiative aims to strengthen the overall brand of Colorado Women's Basketball while honoring the foundation that has positioned the Buffs among the nation's top programs.
The platform honors the program's history, reflects its relentless work ethic, and celebrates the community of players, alumni, fans, and supporters who continue to shape Colorado Women's Basketball.
The launch of The Standard coincides with the start of season ticket sales for the 2026-27 season. Fans can secure their seats now and be part of the next chapter of Colorado Women's Basketball as the Buffs continue building upon the foundation established by those who came before.
