July 02, 2026 | Football
BOULDER — Colorado head football coach Deion "Coach Prime" Sanders and the Buffaloes are set to represent the program Tuesday, July 7 at the 2026 Monster Energy Big 12 Football Media Days at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas.
Coach Prime will be joined by quarterback Julian Lewis, wide receiver Danny Scudero, tight end Zach Atkins and defensive backs Ben Finneseth, Naeten Mitchell and Cree Thomas as the Buffaloes take part in the first day of the two-day conference event.
The event will bring together head coaches and student-athletes from across the Big 12 as the league unofficially turns the page toward the 2026 football season. Colorado is scheduled to appear Tuesday alongside Arizona State, Baylor, BYU, UCF, Houston, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech.
Both days of Big 12 Football Media Days will be televised live on ESPNU from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. MT and simulcast on Big 12 Studios. Portions of the first day will also air on ESPN2.
Coach Prime and the Buffaloes will have a full media schedule throughout the day, including appearances with national outlets, digital platforms and conference partners. Coach Prime is scheduled to appear on the main stage from 11:20-11:35 a.m. MT before taking part in a coaches roundtable from 12:40-1 p.m. MT.
Colorado's student-athletes are also scheduled for appearances with TNT/Bleacher Report, FOX, ESPN, Big 12 Studios, The Athletic, Big 12 Radio/TuneIn, CBS Video and other media platforms throughout the day.
The Big 12 will also honor the late Adam Munsterteiger, the longtime BuffStampede.com founder, publisher and Colorado beat writer who covered the Buffaloes for more than two decades. Munsterteiger, who passed away in May, was a respected voice around the program and a familiar presence to CU fans, coaches, student-athletes and media members.
Colorado opens the 2026 season Thursday, Sept. 3, on the road against Georgia Tech before returning to Folsom Field for its home opener Saturday, Sept. 12, against Weber State.
Buff fans have several ticket options available for the 2026 season, including season tickets, two-game packages and single-game tickets. For more information, click here.
