Colorado Announces 2026-27 Women's Tennis Schedule

August 21, 2026 | Tennis

BOULDER—Colorado announced its 2026-27 women's tennis schedule Thursday, a slate that features 10 fall tournaments capped by the NCAA Individual Championships and 22 spring dual matches, 12 of them at home for the Buffaloes.

The fall season is built around individual competition, opening Sept. 11-13 at the Milwaukee Classic. The Buffs then split late September between two events: the All-Americans, a qualification-based tournament running Sept. 19-27 in Cary, N.C., and the Bedford Cup in Colorado Springs, Sept. 25-27, where the majority of the team will compete.

October takes CU west for the Battle in the Bay Classic in San Francisco, Oct. 1-4, followed by Regionals in Provo, Utah, Oct. 13-17, and the Colorado Cup in Denver, Oct. 23-25.

The fall tournament calendar closes the weekend of Nov. 6-8, when Buffaloes who have qualified will chase NCAA Individual Championships bids at Sectionals in Los Angeles and the Conference Masters in Rome, Ga., while the rest of the team competes at the SDSU Invite in San Diego. The season's individual centerpiece follows with the NCAA Individual Championships, Nov. 17-22 in Athens, Ga.

The spring flips the focus to head-to-head dual matches. Following a training trip to Newport Beach, Calif., Jan. 3-10, the Buffaloes open dual play with a five-match homestand: Portland State on Jan. 15, Minnesota on Jan. 17, New Mexico on Jan. 22, Michigan State on Jan. 29 and Montana State on Feb. 5. All home indoor matches will be played at the Meadows Club.

Colorado then hits the road for back-to-back travel weekends in February, facing UNLV on Feb. 13 and a to-be-determined opponent Feb. 14 in Las Vegas, then heading to Chicago to take on UIC on Feb. 20 and Northwestern on Feb. 21.

Big 12 play makes up the bulk of the spring with 13 conference duals, seven of them in Boulder. The Buffs open league competition on the road March 4 at Kansas State and March 6 at Oklahoma State before returning home for four straight: Iowa State on March 11, Kansas on March 13, Cincinnati on March 18 and West Virginia on March 20.

A trip to UCF on March 25 and Houston on March 27 precedes home dates with Baylor on April 1 and TCU on April 3. Colorado closes the road portion of its schedule April 8 at BYU and April 10 at Utah, then wraps up the regular season at home against Texas Tech on April 17.

The Big 12 Championships run April 21-24 at a site to be determined, with the NCAA Championships beginning April 30 in Athens, Ga.

Match times will be announced at a later date. The complete schedule is available on the women's tennis schedule page at CUBuffs.com.
