Colorado Lacrosse Announces 2026 Fall Schedule

BOULDER — Colorado Buffaloes lacrosse announces its 2026 fall exhibition schedule, featuring eight contests across six dates in preparation for the 2027 season.
The fall slate is highlighted by Colorado's return to Folsom Field, where the Buffs will take on in-state rival Denver on Saturday, Sept. 26.
Ralphie will run as part of the day's festivities, weather permitting, while concessions will be available throughout the event. Admission is free for all home exhibitions.
The matchup marks a return to where Colorado lacrosse began its history in Boulder. The Buffs played their inaugural home game at Folsom Field on Feb. 22, 2014, following Ralphie onto the field before defeating Regis, 13-10.
Denver will also be a familiar opponent for the Buffs following two meetings during the 2026 regular season. Colorado earned a 9-6 win over the Pioneers in Denver before the two programs met again in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, where CU picked up an 11-9 victory to advance to the NCAA quarterfinals.
Colorado will remain in Boulder for its next three fall exhibition dates.
The Buffs' annual Alumni Game is set for Friday, Oct. 2, at Kittredge Field. CU will then welcome Regis to the Ford Practice Facility on Wednesday, Oct. 7.
Colorado closes its home portion of the fall exhibition schedule against Temple on Saturday, Oct. 17, at Kittredge Field.
Buffs On The Road
The Buffs will conclude the fall with a two-day East Coast trip featuring four exhibition contests in New Jersey and New York.
Colorado will play three times on Saturday, Oct. 24, in New Brunswick, N.J., beginning against host Rutgers. The Buffs will follow with Holy Cross and UConn.
UConn is another opponent Colorado saw during the 2026 regular season, with the Buffs earning an 11-5 victory over the Huskies at Kittredge Field in March.
CU will then travel to New York City to close the fall against Columbia on Sunday, Oct. 25.

Colorado finished 16-4, tying the program record for wins in a season, captured its first Big 12 Tournament championship, and advanced to the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals for the first time in program history. The Buffs' season came to an end in a 13-12 double-overtime loss at top-seeded Northwestern.
