
Colorado Women’s Basketball Unveils 2026-27 Schedule

BOULDER — The Colorado women's basketball team has revealed its full 2026-27 schedule, including 12 non-conference matchups and an 18-game Big 12 Conference slate, Head Coach JR Payne announced today.
With seven returning players and seven newcomers, Colorado brings together a blend of experience and new talent as the Buffs look to make their mark both in the Big 12 and on the national stage.
"We're excited to release our full schedule and give Buff Nation a look at the challenges ahead," expressed coach Payne, who enters her 11th season at the helm of the Buffaloes. "Our nonconference slate will test us against a variety of styles and prepare us for the nightly demands of Big 12 play. We can't wait to compete, continue growing together, and represent Colorado in front of the best fans in the country."
CU opens the 2026-27 season with an exhibition game against Adams State on Oct. 27 before tipping off the regular season with a pair of home games against Morgan State (Nov. 4) and Fresno State (Nov. 7). The Buffs visit San Diego State for their first road test of the season on Nov. 11 followed by a home matchup against Youngstown State on Nov. 14.
Colorado will then face New Mexico on the road (Nov. 18) before heading to Mexico for the Cancun Challenge, where the Buffs will take on Georgia (Nov. 26), Oregon (Nov. 27), and Maryland Eastern Shore (Nov. 28).
December action starts at Denver (Dec. 3) prior to three-straight home games against Wyoming (Dec. 6), San Francisco (Dec. 12), and Utah Tech (Dec. 15). Big 12 play then begins on Dec. 20 in Lubbock, Texas as the Buffs face Texas Tech. Colorado closes out 2026 with its conference home opener against Arizona State (Dec. 30).
CU opens the New Year by welcoming Baylor to the CU Events Center on Jan. 2 before squaring off against Oklahoma State in Stillwater, Okla. on Jan. 6. The Buffs then return to Boulder for a pair of home games against UCF (Jan. 9) and BYU (Jan. 13), followed by a two-game road stint at Cincinnati (Jan. 17) and West Virginia (Jan. 20). Colorado will then host Kansas (Jan. 24) prior to ending the month at TCU on Jan. 31.
February begins in Boulder against Houston (Feb. 3) followed by a road contest at Iowa State (Feb. 6). The Buffs return home for a mid-week matchup against Oklahoma State (Feb. 10), prior to a double-feature road swing at Utah (Feb. 13) and BYU (Feb. 16). Regular season action concludes at home against Arizona (Feb. 20), on the road at Arizona State (Feb. 24), and back in Boulder for senior day against Kansas State (Feb. 28).
