AT COLORADO: This Season (Fr.)?He is projected as a placekicker as a true freshman in college; he joined the team as an invited walk-on for August drills.

 

HIGH SCHOOL?He earned first-team All-State and All-League honors his senior year at placekicker, as he connected on 6-of-8 field goals (long of 39) and converted on 83-of-86 PAT kicks for 103 points.  He set a state record for PAT’s made in a season.  As a junior, he was perfect on the year, converting all three field goal attempts (39 long) and all 12 PAT kicks.  In earning two letters under coach Ken Potter, Jesuit was 14-0 his senior season (state champs) and 13-1 his junior season (state champs).  He lettered four times in track, participating in the state meet all four years, and earned first-team All-State honors as a senior in the 4x400 meter relay.  As a junior, he was first-team All-State in the 300-meter hurdles (he took second in the event) and the 4x400-meter relay, helping Jesuit capture the state title; he also earned All-League honors in the 400 and the hurdles. He also lettered once in soccer (defenseman), helping his team to runner-up honors in the state tournament.

 

ACADEMICS?He is majoring in Mechanical Engineering at Colorado.  He was an honor roll student all four years in high school. As a senior, he was a member of the National Honor Society and won his school’s photography award.  

 

PERSONAL?Born February 2, 1989 in Ann Arbor, Mich.  His hobbies include golfing, fishing, skiing and camping and he has also worked as a professional photographer.  His father, Bret, played soccer at Santa Clara. A great uncle, Chuck Lamson, played collegiately at Wyoming and played five seasons as a safety in the NFL with Minnesota (1962-63) and the Los Angeles Rams (1965-67).  He has aspirations of serving as an engineer in the military after his football playing days conclude.
