WHAT SPARKED YOUR INTEREST IN THE RALPHIE PROGRAM?
While watching the handlers run out on the field with Ralphie on game day, I knew that was a feeling I wanted to experience for myself. I have also played team sports my whole life and I missed being an athlete and a part of a team. I knew being a handler would get me both of those things in the coolest way possible.
WHAT DOES RALPHIE MEAN TO YOU?
Ralphie is the face of the university, and she represents everything it means to be a Buff. She creates a sense of community that no other university has. It is an honor to be a part of such an amazing program and group of people.
WHAT'S THE HARDEST PART OF BEING A RALPHIE HANDLER?
I think the hardest part about being a handler is waking up early for workouts and managing my schedule with all of the training, events, and game days.
WHAT'S THE BEST PART OF BEING A RALPHIE HANDLER?
The team! I have never been a part of a more supportive, encouraging, and fun environment. And of course, getting to hang out with the queen herself.
WHAT'S ONE THING THAT SURPRISES PEOPLE THE MOST WHEN THEY ASK YOU ABOUT BEING A
RALPHIE HANDLER?
Most people are surprised that we are considered D1 athletes and we have workouts/training multiple times a week.
WHAT'S ONE THING ABOUT RALPHIE THAT SURPRISED YOU THE MOST AFTER BECOMING A
RALPHIE HANDLER?
Ralphie has so much personality and she loves words of affirmation. She can also be a stubborn girl at times.
WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES?
I love backpacking, hiking, trail running, yoga, skiing, and reading.
