Colton Behr is in his first year as the Assistant Program Manager CU's Ralphie program. He transferred into a full-time position with the Ralphie program on May 2, 2022 after serving as a part-time assistant coach the previous two years.
Behr was a four-year letter winner as a Ralphie Handler from 2015-18. In his first year as a Ralphie Handler, Behr was named the team's Rookie of the Year. He also was selected as the team's Tough Buff in 2015 and 2016, and earned the Heart of the Buffalo award as a senior in 2018.
Behr earned his bachelor's degree from CU Boulder in 2018 in technology, arts and media. A native of Colorado Springs, he lettered in football, baseball and wrestling at Discovery Canyon High School. He enjoys running, cycling, swimming, hiking, watching the NFL, going to Buffs games, and frisbee golf.
On why he got into coaching
"Coaching gives me the opportunity to help carry on the tradition that I love. Ralphie is the best part of CU, and getting to carry on the legacy for past, present, and future Buff fans is an honor. The privilege of being a Ralphie Handler was an exceptional experience for me, and I want to share that with every handler who comes through the program. I want Ralphie to continue to represent the pride, tradition, community, and legacy of the Colorado Buffaloes."
