SENIOR (2018): Massey started 19 of Colorado’s 20 matches. She totaled six points, putting 18 shots on net. Her first goal of the season was a game-winner at Marquette. Her second goal came in CU’s 3-1 win over No. 17 Washington State. She played a season-high 84 minutes at Arizona State. She finishes her Colorado career with 62 starts in 64 matches. Massey finishes with 20 career points ( 6 G, 8 A) as a Buff.

JUNIOR (2017): Massey was one of the top performers for CU as the Buffs reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament and broke school records for shutouts (14) and goals-against average (0.61). She started 21 of 22 matches at outside midfielder and finished the season with four goals and six assists for 14 points. She also had 44 shot attempts and put 12 of those on goal. She ranked 10th in the Pac-12 and 122nd nationally in assists. Her presence was key on both ends of the field as the team had a 0.48 GAA and outscored its opponents 27-8 in the 1,486 minutes Massey was on the pitch. She scored her first career goal in a 6-0 win over UC Riverside on Aug. 27. She had a goal and an assist in a 3-0 win over Arizona State on Oct. 19. Massey finished the season strong, scoring two goals in her final three matches. She scored the first goal of a 2-0 win at Utah in the 12th minute on a one-touch strike from the top of the box on Nov. 3. She was key in CU’s 2-1 win over Denver in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Nov. 12, scoring the game-tying goal in the 50th minute and assisting on Taylor Kornieck’s winner just two minutes later. In the regular season, she had two assists in a 6-1 at Denver on Sept. 16 and also had one assist each against BYU and UTSA. Massey earned Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention with a 3.05 GPA.
 
SOPHOMORE (2016): Massey led CU to the NCAA Tournament and a second-place finish in the Pac-12 in her first season in Boulder. She started all 22 matches at midfielder and was one of six players to do so. She appeared in 1,416 minutes on the field and helped CU outscored its opponents 24-14 during that time. She also finished with 15 shot attempts, including seven on goal. She played a season-high 89 minutes in a 3-2 overtime win at No. 10 California on Oct. 23. Massey was responsible for marking All-American Jessie Fleming and held her to one shot attempt in a 1-0 win over No. 9 UCLA on Oct. 27. She also had a season-high four shot attempts in a 1-1 draw with No. 23 Utah on Nov. 4.
 
FRESHMAN (2015 AT TENNESSEE): Massey played in 13 matches and averaged 23 minutes, while attempting 10 shots at the University of Tennessee.
 
INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE: She was twice invited to the U.S. Girls National Team Camp.
 
ODP: Massey was a member of the Colorado ODP Team in 2011 and 2012 and the Region IV ODP Team in 2012.
 
CLUB TEAM: She played for Real Colorado and won the State Cup championships in 2009 and 2011. She scored 52 career ECNL goals and was a team captain. She was also invited to the ECNL/id2 National Training Camp in 2013 and 2014.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Massey was a 2015 graduate of Mountain Vista High School, where she was a four-year letterwinner. She was named NSCAA first-team All-America and Colorado player of the year as a senior in 2015. She also earned first-team all-state each of her last three years and was a four-time first-team all-Continental League selection, while earning team MVP honors each year. She led Mountain Vista to the 2013 state championship, scoring the game-winning goal in overtime, and the 2012, 2013 and 2015 Continental League championships. Massey was named the No. 57 overall recruit in the nation by IMG Academy 150. In four seasons, she scored 72 goals, including 26 as a senior. She also volunteered for Coats for Colorado and as a youth soccer coach.
 
IN THE CLASSROOM: Massey is majoring in marketing and intends to go into technology sales after graduation. She earned Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention as a junior and has a 3.05 cumulative GPA.
 
PERSONAL: Megan Lyn Massey was born on April 9, 1997, in Sacramento, Calif., to Brent and Heidi Massey. She has a younger sister Mia who also plays soccer. She chose CU because of the culture that the coaching staff is creating, which gives her the opportunity to represent Colorado and compete in the best conference in the country. She also likes the world-class education and the beautiful setting in Boulder.
