World Class Coaches
CU's coaching staff, led by head coach Danny Sanchez, is recognized among the best in college soccer. In 28Â years of coaching at the collegiate level, Sanchez has amassed 400 wins and has a winning percentage of .718. At CU, his teams have reached the NCAA Tournament seven times in the past 12 seasons. During his six-year tenure at Metro State, he led the Roadrunners to two NCAA Division II national championships.
Associate head coach Jason Green coaches the team's goalkeepers, helping former CU standout goalkeeper J.J. Tompkins earn All-Pac-12 honors in her final three seasons as a Buff, before moving onto a professional career in Norway. Green's 2014 graduate Kate Scheele went on to play in the NWSL for one season. Jordan Nytes had 13 wins, the 7th most in program history, in 2023 while boasting eight shutouts.Â
Assistant coach Dave Morgan is a member of the U.S. Soccer National Team Scouting Network, identifying and evaluating talent around the country for United States Women's and Girls National Teams. As a collegiate coach, he was an assistant under Sanchez during the two national championships at Metro State and has helped the Buffs to five postseason appearances in his nine seasons in Boulder.
Our Camp Director this summer is Jorden Smith.Â
Sanchez also welcomes coaches from across the country and the team's current student-athletes also serve as camp counselors (pictured above). Here's a complete list of college coaches attending CU's camps (2023).
World Class Facilities
CU's Champions Center is a brand new facility that has earned a reputation for being one of the best athletic facilities in the country. Our athletic facilities are unmatched in terms of serving the health, wellness and academic success of our student athletes. During camp, campers will get to see all the intricacies our facilities have to offer, and we guarantee it will be a one-of-a-kind experience. Campers will be able to eat where student-athletes eat, watch film where student-athletes get to watch film, and get treatments where student-athletes get treatments.
Prentup Field was newly renovated for the start of the 2023 season, featuring lights for the first time in program history.Â
