- Aided CU in its best defensive season in school history in 2017 as the team broke the records for goals-against average (0.61), shutouts (14) and longest shutout streak (621:10)
- Coached CU keepers to 98 career shutouts since 2012
- CU posted a school-record six consecutive shutouts to open the 2017 season
Prior to Colorado
- Spent four seasons as an assistant coach at Wyoming
- Posted a 36-34-11 record at Wyoming
- Helped the Cowgirls to a school-record 12 wins and their first ever spot in the MWC Tournament championship in 2011
- Also coached with Sanchez at Mesa Community College
- Has also coached Skyline High School (Mesa, Ariz.) and Chandler High School (Ariz.)
- Was Region Coach of the Year at both high schools and won three straight NSCAA National Academic Awards at Chandler
Education
- Played at Mesa C.C. under Sanchez where they were ranked as high as second in the nation
- Transferred to Grand Canyon, helping the team to No. 2 national ranking
- Earned his bachelor’s in physical education from Ottawa (Ariz.) University in 2003 and completed his master’s in physical education from Arizona State in 2008
