Andrew Popchock is entering his second year as the general manager of Buffalo Sports Properties (BSP), as Learfield, the multimedia rightsholder for University of Colorado Athletics, appointed him to the position on November 29, 2021.

For BSP, he serves as the primary Learfield liaison with athletic department.  The team works in complete collaboration with the athletics administration and oversees CU Athletics’ corporate partner platform.  CU and Learfield have been partners for a quarter century; the Buffaloes are one of 50 Power 5 programs that the company represents in the multimedia rights arena.

Popchock, 37, has been with Learfield since 2010, having joined the CU staff from Washington State University, where he had been the general manager for Washington State Sports Properties which represented the Cougars from August 2018 until coming to CU.  Prior to WSU, he was the former associate general manager for Learfield’s Michigan Sports Properties team in Ann Arbor for three years (August 2015-18).  He had been promoted to that position from a senior account executive position for MSP that he held for nearly two-and-a-half years.  He had started as an MSP account executive in June 2011 and worked in that position for just under two years until his first promotion.

Popchock is a 2007 graduate of Hope College (Holland, Mich.), where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Communications and was also a defensive back for the Flying Dutchmen.  After working as an event resources executive in the Detroit area for two-and-a-half years, he relocated to Colorado Springs where he spent the better part of two years (November 2009 through June 2011) working for CBS Collegiate Sports Properties as an account executive for the Air Force Academy Falcons.  He then moved back to his native Michigan for the next seven-plus years of his professional career.

He was born February 13, 1985 in Detroit, Mich., and graduated from Rochester Adams (Mich.) High School, where he lettered in football and track.  His hobbies include golf, hiking, camping and traveling.  He is married to the former Emily Hunter, and they have two children, son Luke (8) and daughter Anna (7). In college, he was a premium services intern with the Philadelphia Eagles his junior year.
