Gabby Juarez is an assistant sports dietitian with the University of Colorado athletic department.
In her role, Juarez provides individualized nutrition counseling, team education and performance nutrition support to help student-athletes optimize health, recovery and athletic success. She works closely with student-athletes and members of the sports medicine team to implement evidence-based nutrition and fueling strategies that support training, recovery and competition while using nutrition assessment and monitoring tools to evaluate progress and guide individualized care.
Prior to Colorado, Juarez served as a performance nutrition fellow at the University of Michigan from April 2022 to July 2023.
Juarez is a member of the Collegiate and Professional Sports Dietitians Association.
A native of Streamwood, Ill., Juarez earned both of her degrees from Bradley University. She received her bachelor’s degree in dietetics in 2019 and her master’s degree in nutrition and wellness with an emphasis in counseling in 2021.
Juarez was also a member of Bradley’s NCAA Division I women’s cross country and track and field programs. She earned Academic All-Missouri Valley Conference honors from 2016-20 and was named NCAA All-Midwest Region and All-Missouri Valley Conference in 2018.
