Maureen Riedel joined the University of Colorado in August of 2022 as the Director of Licensing and Brand Management. In this capacity, she manages all internal and external business opportunities relative to the use of mark on officially licensed collegiate merchandise. Riedel is charged with broadening the reach of the Colorado brand through cultivating strategic partnerships with licensees and retailers to ignite and engage consumers of all ages.
Prior to coming to Colorado, she served as the senior director of Penn State’s Licensing and Brand Programs. And prior to that, she administered Syracuse University’s Licensing Program.
Under her industry leadership, she received Marketer of the Year by IMG Collegiate Licensing and was awarded the International Collegiate Licensing Association Gold Star Award in recognition of outstanding leadership and innovation.
Riedel also served on the Fair Labor Association Board of Directors for over a decade representing University constituents as a leading voice in ensuring collegiate licensed merchandise is produced under fair and humane working conditions across the globe.
Maureen holds a marketing management degree from the Martin J. Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University. She is also a graduate of the Penn State Smeal College of Business Executive Program for Women Leaders and a Leadership Centre County alumna.
