Colorado was down 27-23 at halftime making this the first game the Buffs have come back to win after trailing at halftime this year, and first since playing at Missouri last season on Feb. 23, 2010. (80-79 OT)
Missouri's 48 points are the lowest CU opponent total in Big 12 games since beating Missouri here last year 64-48 on Jan. 9, 2010.
The Buffs now have beat two Big 12 opponents at the CECC this season. Last season's team only earned one conference win at home.
CU pulled down a season high 53 rebounds. The 53 rebounds ties the most ever by the Buffaloes in a Big 12 game. CU also had 53 in a 69-40 win at Texas A&M on Feb. 8, 1997. Colorado's 20 offensive rebounds were its most in a Big 12 game since grabbing 20 in a 67-53 win over Texas on Feb. 16, 2008.
Brittany Spears logged her 111th straight start, leaving her just one behind Amy Mathern (1989-93) for the longest consecutive streak in team history. Her 26 points tonight inched her closer to third place as she only needs to score one more point this season to secure third place on CU's all-time scoring list.
Her 11 field goals moved her into the third position on CU's list, and she needs 15 more to move into second. She also contributed one three-pointer tonight tying her with Kate Fagan (1999-04) in fifth with 197.
She has put up double digit points in 17 of CU's 18 games this season and 96 of her 111 career games played. She has scored over 20 points 38 times in her career. Tonight she registered her 29th career double-double with 26 points and 13 rebounds.
She set season highs in points (26), field goals (11) and field goal attempts (24), while tying a season and team high 13 rebounds. Her points and field goal attempts were also team highs. She tied the team high in field goals and rebounds.
Chelsea Dale started for the third time in her career.
Chucky Jeffery returned to the floor after sitting out the last two games due to a concussion.
Brittany Wilson logged her first career double-double with 11 points and a career high 12 rebounds. It is the fourth time this season CU has had two players record double-doubles in the same game.
Julie Seabrook shot 3-of-5 (.600). She has shot 60 percent or better in nine games this season. She also grabbed a season high 11 rebounds.
