Big 12 Announces 2025-26 Men’s Schedule Matrix
June 12, 2025 | Men's Basketball
BOULDER – Home games with historic rivals in Kansas and Arizona highlight Colorado's 2025-26 Big 12 Conference schedule as the league released its entire men's basketball match-up matrix on Thursday.
Big 12 teams will play 18 conference games, two fewer than last season, broken down by home-and-home series with three opponents and single games with the other 12: six home and six away. Opponents were selected to achieve the best balance of the schedule in terms of travel and competitiveness. A full Big 12 schedule will be released at a later date.
Seven of Colorado's nine home opponents advanced to postseason play in 2024-25. Along with Arizona and Kansas, the Buffaloes have single home games with Kansas State, Oklahoma State, TCU and UCF. Kansas State and Oklahoma State will visit the CU Events Center for the first time since the 2010-11 season.
Colorado will play a home-and-home series with Arizona State, Utah and 2025 NCAA Elite Eight participant Texas Tech. The home-and-home series with Arizona State is the only one that repeats the Buffaloes' Big 12 pairings from last season.
The Buffaloes will have single road contests at BYU, Baylor, NCAA runner-up Houston, Cincinnati, West Virginia and Iowa State. West Virginia will be the final venue that Colorado has yet to visit among current Big 12 teams. The Buffaloes will play at Cincinnati for the first time since December 1981 and visit Houston for the first time since December 1994.
Dates, times and television for all Big 12 games, along with Colorado's nonconference schedule, will be announced at a later date.
